Down on the farm at Tregaddra

Tregaddra is a 220 acre traditional family farm. The main enterprises being the beef suckler herd and winter cauliflower with a small acreage of cereals grown for our own cattle (the straw for their bedding in the winter months and the grain for feed). Jonathan's great great grand father came to Tregaddra in 1864 as a tenant and then bought the farm in 1884, the name Lugg means 'cattle herder' or 'calf rearer' in the native Cornish language !

The swimming pool The sun lounge

Local attractions:

Only 3/4hr. From the Eden Project and Lands End. 5mins from the coastal path and beaches, art galleries, house riding, 18 hole golf course, fishing villages and beautiful Helford village.

Cycling

Bring your own bikes or we can arrange cycle hire at preferable rates from a local shop "Cycle Logic". We provide carefully planned routes, sharing our local knowledge of the Lizard's hidden corners, for you to experience the beautiful and varied scenery via country lanes and tracks. More officially designated cycle paths such as the Carn Brea route, mineral tramways trail and the Camel Trail are now opening up in Cornwall, information is available on these. Storage and drying facilities available.

Golf

We have detailed information on several courses in our area. Arrangements can be made for green fee reductions for Tregaddra guests and we can book teeing off times in advance. Cornwall has over 30 golf courses to choose from, only Scotland has more golf courses per head of population! Storage and drying facilities are available as well as early breakfasts, pack lunches and flask filling. Mullion golf club is just 3 miles from Tregaddra, situated between two beautiful coves on the cliffs. Mullion golf course offers a warm welcome and a great days golf, although doom in the form of a double-bogey is always lurking!

Horse Riding

For those of you who like horse riding or would like to give it a try, Cury Riding Stables is but a short distance away at Nanfan Farm. Enjoy the beautiful cornish views from horseback.
