The Situation
Situated on the outskirts of the small town of Penryn which received its Royal Charter in 1259. Stream Cottage built in 1743 is a granite built cottage of exceptional character. Furnished with antiques it offers guests a warm comfortable welcome.
Penryn is just a mile or so outside of Falmouth, a renowned Yachting centre. This beautiful area of Cornwall provides sandy beaches, coastal walks, numerous famous country houses 'Trelissick' and 'Trebah' are close by, boat trips and many other activities, it is perfectly situated for Touring and exploring the Roseland Peninsular and West Cornwall via the famous 'King Harry Ferry'.
There are a wide selection of Restaurants and Country Pubs for that mid day lunch or evening out. There are excellent shopping facilities at the nearby Cathedral City of Truro.
Whatever your interests, whether they are from Deep Sea Fishing to Country Gardens this beautiful location will please all.

The Situation
Hotel Anacapri built around the turn of the century is directly opposite Gyllyngvase Beach which is one of the best “blue flag” beaches in Cornwall.

A walk along the seafront leads to Pendennis Castle and Pedennis point at the mouth of the Fal estuary, one of the worlds largest natural harbours.

A bustling Town centre, active harbour-side and the National Maritime Museum are approx 10 mins walk. The Eden project is just 40 mins drive.

The Accommodation
All 16 bedrooms are fully en-suite and 11 enjoy full sea views.

All have central heating, colour television, hairdryer and complimentary tray.

The newly refurbished resident’s lounge and dining room both overlook Falmouth Bay and beach and once again you will be delighted with the views which are breathtaking.

Children over 10 years only can be accommodated. We regret no pets.

The licensed bar is for all to enjoy and the restaurant is open all year. The choice is yours-eat in every night or just occasionally. Table d’hote or a la carte, a four course evening meal will cost approx. £16.95

Follow the A39 from Truro through to Falmouth. You will approach traffic lights at a crossroads - go straight on, then 2 mini roundabouts - straight on, then after the second mini roundabout we are 5th on the right - Gyllyngvase Road and just a short way down you will find us on the right just before the beach.

Due to its location, Falmouth affords a mild, warm climate with a choice of sandy beaches; Gyllyngvase being just a stones throw away from your accommodation.
Sited at the entrance to one of the world's finest natural harbours, Falmouth has frequent ferries across the harbour to visit both scenic St Mawes and historic flushing. There are many coastal walks, a medieval castle and the 'Ships & Castles' Leisure Pool at nearby Pendennis Head. It is an excellent base for Touring the South and West coast of Cornwall.
From the hotel, a short stroll will take you to the gardens and entertainment to be found at the Princes Pavillion; Falmouth town is also within walking distance, where you will find a variety of shops, coffee houses, and restaurants, all nestled within picturesque streets.

Within an hours drive:
Truro City, a lovely boat trip or short drive from Falmouth. Have a look around the excellent shops and magnificent cathedral.
