Glen Avon is a genuine country cottage overlooking on of the creeks of the lovely Helford river, situated it is own large garden with woods adjacent. The cottage lies between the villages of Mawnan Smith and Porth Navas.

Facing southwest, the cottage and its gardens enjoy the best of the sunshine, making its a perfect setting for dining at the picnic table, lunchtime or evening barbecues, or simply soaking up the warmth and beauty of the surroundings. A summer's evening at Glen Avon can be an experience of unforgettable tranquility.

A holiday here is the perfect opportunity for exploring the beautiful Helford River area. Hire a boat at Helford Passage, and discover the secluded Frenchmans Creek, and Helford village with its quaint thatched cottages and waterside pub. For the more adventurous, a fishing trip from Falmouth perhaps, or just a leisurely cruise up the River Fal to Truro.

For those who enjoy a walk, the breathtaking scenery may be enjoyed from the miles of coastal footpaths in the area, where the delights of the Cornish countryside combine to give you the true atmosphere of South Cornwall. The National Trust gardens of Glendurgan, and the Trebah Trust gardens lie within a mile of Glen Avon. The safe beaches and a variety of watersports and activeties in the area provide a holiday experience to please the whole family.

Glen Avon is situated on the edge of a traditional Cornish farm, Lower Penpol, through which there is a public footpath to the village of Mawanan Smith.

All heating and electricity, (oil-fired rayburn in cooler months, 4 electric convector heaters, immersion heater).
