There are
plenty of things to do Locally,
and the whole of Cornwall with
its spectacular coastline,
magnificent scenery and beaches
is within comfortable motoring
distance. A short walk from the
cottage is
Porfell Animal Land , with
many exotic animals.
Looe remains
one of the busiest fishing ports
in Cornwall, and offers safe
sandy beaches and quaint
whitewashed buildings, cobbled
lanes and good restaurants.
Coarse fishing, shark fishing,
golf, riding and watersports can
all be found nearby.
The new
acclaimed
Eden Project is only 15
minutes away, where the majestic
rainforests, the Mediterranean,
South Africa and California are
recreated in huge covered
conservatories, or Biomes, to
tell the fascinating story of
mankind's dependence on plants.
The nearby
small villages of Lerryn and
Lanreath give a taste of country
life, with welcoming inns and
friendly tea rooms for the
traditional Cornish Pasties and
Cream Teas.
Exploring is
easy! Walk the Cornish Coastal
Path and find secluded little
coves and beaches, or visit
Fowey, Polperro and Looe (famous
for shark and deep sea fishing),
with their quaint narrow streets
and many good restaurants.
There are
numerous beautiful gardens and
National Trust Houses in the
area. Truro is only 35 miles and
Plymouth 25 miles away, both
cities provide excellent
shopping facilities.
