Portmellon Beach |
Mevagissey Harbour |
The beautiful fishing port of
Mevagissey is just a short drive away from where
you can catch a ferry along the stunning
coastline to Fowey. Alternatively fishing trips
are available, and for the more adventurous
there are shark angling trips!
The beaches and coves along the
south coast are ideal for sailing, canoeing,
water skiing and skin-diving and equally
suitable for families with children with miles
of golden sand and very safe for swimming. For
surfers the North coast has superb beaches and
is only 25 minutes away. And for the
conservationist and walker this area of Cornwall
is a perfect base.
The famous old port of
Charlestown is home to a fleet of square rigged
schooners (on which you can go for a sail), and
the award winning Ship Wreck and Heritage
Centre. Here you can also purchase delicious
smoked salmon, prawns, oysters, and a host of
unusual seafare from the superb smoked fish
factory in the centre of the town. |
