SETTING
It is wild and beautiful here three seaside
farmhouse cottages set in ‘an area of
outstanding natural beauty’. The farm, some of
it National Trust, has three miles of
spectacular rugged coastline, with cliffs rising
to 720 feet - the highest in Cornwall, and
hauntingly beautiful Strangles beach where
Thomas Hardy walked with Emma.
A deep wooded valley winds its
way from the cottages down to Crackington Haven,
a great family beach with its deep pools and
towering cliffs.
It is a wildlife haven with
different environments: a steeply wooded valley,
coastal heath land where feral goats and
Moreland ponies roam, and inland farmland. The
biodiversity is impressive: you will see
Buzzards, Kestrels, owls, butterflies, badgers
and deer especially if you go on one of Francis
Crocker’s Conservation tours.
Stroll up the hill to sample
Locally produced food at the award winning
Trevigue restaurant but do book early. Three
large exciting properties in a fabulous setting.
A peaceful and relaxing
destination for a perfect holiday. |
